Summary of clip:This short clip was used to show the wide variety of dogs.

Connection of flick to concept: This clip was used in the engage phase of a learning cycle on adaptations. The students explored the extent to which humans accelerated the evolution of dogs from wolves. This clip was used in conjunction with a clip from White Fang.

a. Why are there 400 breeds of dogs?

b. How could this variation occur when wolves are the sole progenitor of dogs?

c. Why don't we see such a wide variety of other animals?
