Dances with Wolves


Concept 1: In the scene when Dances with Wolves walks with Stands-with-Fist, you can clearly see cottonwood trees that are bearing cotton, but the leafless limbs indicate that it is in autumn. The problem here is that the seeds of cottonwood trees, which are attached to the “cotton”, are wind-dispersed, a phenomenon that only occurs in the spring and early summer.

Concept 2: At the end of the film, we hear the “honk” of Canadian geese as they fly overhead. However, the birds in the shot are actually sandhill cranes, which produce no such sound.
